Mentoring

Our Mission

Everyone hopes for a chance in life to do something that truly impacts the world. That's what mentoring is all about — changing children's lives by providing guidance, support and positive relationships. The mission of the Community Connections Mentoring Program is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-on-one relationships with adult mentors that have a positive measurable impact on youth.

We hope you will consider taking the journey in creating positive change by becoming a mentor. If you listen actively, care about people, empathize with youth, and see opportunities — then you are ready to make a difference! Life Skills Program

Community Connections Mentoring teaches a “Life Skills” course throughout the school year to sixth-grade students at Madison Middle School, where students are given the knowledge and skills they need to make positive choices on important issues such as drug and alcohol use, emotional control, and bullying.  These classes take place twice a week. Twice a month the group goes to Linden Court, where they visit with the residents and do activities with them. Please contact us for more information about Life Skills.

Are you a current Community Connections mentor or mentee?

Click on the "For Mentors & Mentees" button at left to access a special secure area of our site, where you can get more information on special activities available to our program participants.
